Micki's Testimony
Micki Morgan was born in Hyden, Kentucky. She grew up in Leslie County and was blessed with a very supportive family. Micki was the all-American girl who participated in all the sports and was an over achiever who stood out among her peers as the “girl most likely to succeed”. Although Micki had a picture-perfect life, divorce, the death of her step-father suddenly and a house fire left lasting effects deep into her heart. She graduated nursing school early and had a job in the cardiac ICU, but Micki also dealt with kidney issues that led to many stints in the hospital and eventually led to her addiction to pain killers. Micki found that drugs not only dealt with the physical pain, but numbed the emotional pain from childhood trauma. This led to a five-year addiction that led to the loss of her child and a seemingly hopeless life. However, she went to treatment and instead of religion, she found healing of the Spirit, soul, and body through Jesus Christ. Micki was raised to know Jesus but found the Jesus that loved her through all of her mess and took it and gave her a message. God renewed her mind and her heart and gave her a testimony to share with the world. She was reunited with her daughter and her family and God has made those relationships better than before. Micki met Will while in treatment and they were brought together by God. Between the two of them they have six children ranging in age from thirteen to three. They travel across the United States sharing the good news of the gospel to those who are where they used to be. Micki works in recovery now not only by helping in her job, but she and Will go and preach the gospel under a tent all over the land. They meet people where they are and share the love of Jesus by being the hands and feet of Jesus. A huge part of their ministry is going into the communities they preach in, and partnering with local churches and pastors to mentor them on how to do outreach to the ones society has forgotten about. They show churches how to love them back to life and minister to the needs of the most lost of souls.
Will's Testimony
Will Arvin grew up in Powell County, Kentucky. He was always energetic and busy as a child growing up in the country. He enjoyed hunting and was very athletic by nature. As a teenager Will was an all-star basketball player and had many opportunities to further his career, but by his senior year drugs had become part of his story. He wound up quitting school and fell into a cycle of drug addiction to numb the pain of childhood trauma. This cycle landed Will in jail multiple times and the root of the addiction was never addressed or faced during this time. Everything began to change one night in a trailer when he heard a voice different from the ones that he heard during his drug induced med psychosis. This voice told him to leave where he was staying. He left and was arrested, and while incarcerated he was given an opportunity to go to treatment yet again. This time would prove to be very different. He came to treatment and found Jesus. This changed everything and he met the love of his life Micki. They began chasing Jesus together and for the last six years they have been loving people back to life. They now live in Prichard, West Virginia and preach all over the United States. They are members of New Life Outreach Church in Fort Gay, West Virginia and are founders of the United Oaks Mission, a non-profit organization that takes ministry to the streets to meet people where they are and love them back to life by being the hands and feet of Jesus. Will is a father of six beautiful children ranging in age from thirteen to three. His life has been miraculously restored and as a family they share the good news of the Gospel wherever the Lord says to pitch the tent.
